The Philippines is renowned for having the worst internet connectivity in the whole of Southeast Asia. And although it isn’t quite as bad in Alona Beach, Bohol, as it is on other Philippine islands, it’s still not great. Even hotspotting your phone data doesn’t get you too far here. However, despite this, I did find a few places where the wifi was good enough to work online. Here are the top 3 with the best wifi on Alona Beach and the nearby area.
Table of Contents
Gavroche
Gavroche, hands down, has the best Wifi on Alona Beach. I even managed to download a few films off Netflix here! This little patisserie was one of my favourite places to head in the morning, as they offer really tasty but cheap french-style breakfast food. Plus as it’s just opposite from the street that leads you down to the beach, it an ideally located stop off before a day on the sand.
Noah Pizza
Set right in the heart of the lively tourist hub, Noah Pizza takes the 2nd spot for best wifi on Alona Beach. Unlike Alona Vida, there were no interruptions with connectivity and you could download files faster. They also know how to make a seriously good pizza here. So settle yourself on a corner table, order yourself a slice of Italy and watch the world go by.
Alona Vida Beach Resort bar
If you’re wanting to work online whilst listening to the sounds of the waves then Alona Vida Beach Resort bar is the best place to go. Although they don’t have the best Wifi on Alona Beach, it’s still a lot less intermittent than most along the shorefront. Here you can also enjoy a great mix of Filipino and western food throughout the day, or chill out with cocktails and live music at night.
