The easiest way to get to Moalboal is from the main city on the island, Cebu City. With an airport and many ferry and bus links, Cebu City is a major hub for both local and international travellers acts as the main transport link to the rest of the island.

Cebu City to Moalboal by bus

The best way to get from Cebu City to Moalboal is by public bus. Two bus companies drive this route, Ceres and Librando. A one-way fare is between P115 – P130 per person depending on if the bus is air-conditioned or not. You don’t need to buy a ticket in advance either, just hop on and pay the conductor onboard.

The buses are quite regular and leave every 30 minutes from the Cebu South Bus Terminal. The journey takes around 3 hours depending on traffic. On arrival in Moalboal, the bus will drop you off in the town centre. From here it’s very easy to arrange onward transport to your final destination.

Cebu City to Moalboal by taxi

If you prefer to have your own private transportation from Cebu City to Moalboal you can get a taxi from the airport or city centre. An average fare to Moalboal will cost between P2500 – P3000 and will take up to 3 hours depending on traffic.

How to get from Moalboal to Panagsama Beach / White Beach

If you’re continuing on from Moalboal to Panagsama Beach / White Beach, you can get there is by tricycle. It’s easy enough to find a ride, as trikes will be lined up near where the bus drops you off in Moalboal town centre. Fares are usually between P100 – P150.
