A Guide to the Best Lisbon Street Art
Lisbon has the most fantastic street art. And the best part -it’s everywhere. From the central district of Bairro Alto, to the old narrow lanes of Alfama, you only have to wander through the city’s streets to see amazing work from Portuguese and global street artists everywhere you go. The variety and amount of street art alone makes Lisbon a must visit for street art tourists, art lovers and artists alike. Yet beautiful azulejos tiled walls and colourful buildings complete the city’s creative story. As it would be never ending task to find every piece of Lisbon street art (there’s so much of it!), here are just some of the best bits I discovered whilst exploring the city and where you can find it. You can even plot your own route using my map at the bottom of this post.

Now this is an interesting gallery! And quite a walk too if we look at the map!
[…] Forget about having to visit a gallery to see some art – because in Lisbon, it’s everywhere. The street art scene is massive here, and continuously growing, and exploring it is a must. You can discover amazing work by both Portuguese and global artists by simply wandering around any of Lisbon’s districts. Try Alfama in particular. But if you want some context behind what you’re seeing, a company called ‘Lisbon Street Art Tours’ do guided tours of the city’s best pieces. Read my other post about Lisbon street art here. […]
